Compassion for my Kids

Lord let me put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience and let those character qualities be transferred to my children.

Thank you that Your word clearly states that You want us to put these on. Therefore we know that it is possible to have these things by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let each of my children have compassion for the lost and dying world around them and not be consumed with themselves. Let them show kindness to strangers as well as friends. Let them go out of their way to express kindness and compassion when they are not expected.

I pray for humble hearts, the ability to admit when they are wrong, the ability to see themselves for who they really are.

I pray for gentleness and patience with others. The kind of gentleness and patience that bears with people who need someone to love them to our kind Savior.

Col. 3:12 And so, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;
