Should have started typing these earlier this week!
Homeschool (Summer Goals)
1. To get Zach tested sometime in June.
action point: call Bob Jones Tuesday
2. Get the kids up to par for next year.
action point: To practice reading with Brooke and Talley all summer. To have Zach finish his science book, work through on Medieval history, finish his math book and read 8 books this summer.
Child Training
1. To train my children to obey me the first time without complaint and without dispute.
action point: Daily have an obedience "game" to help in the training. Require first time obedience regardless of how tired I am.
2. To train my children to work hard and without complaint.
action point: Make sure that they have meaningful work planned to do all day. First chores, then schoolwork, then more chores then play.
Connecting
1. Have a family dinner at night.
action point: Plan menus for the week. Stick to them. Plan for my meals each day in the morning.
2. Make each day have theme. Plan for each member of the family individually and as a group.
action point: Make a calendar of what each day will bring and plan in time for each member. Establish a morning routine and night routine that makes the children feel like they are loved and precious.
Home Keeping
1. Routines and Zones.
action point: Baby steps with Flylady. 15 minutes and zone work. Incorporate the themes for connecting into the housekeeping themes.
2. To be consistent with my work.
action point: Need an accountability partner?
Paperwork
1. File daily.
action point: Get caught up with current work.
2. Work on it weekly.
action point: Plan time in to just work on paperwork.
