What is more difficult than being consistent? Nothing! Today I am praying that as I teach my children how to obey me, how to listen to my rebuke and not to talk back. I am praying for them to walk in truth and that I will be consistent in my teaching, my modeling and my own walk.

Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
Father, thank you for the children You have given to us. Thank you for the honor of teaching and training them. Thank you that you are kind to me when I argue with You over Your decisions. Help me to be wise. Help my yes be yes and my no, no. Help me to obey You in all areas. Father I pray for a willing spirit to be consistent in what You have called me to do. Thank you for Your patience with me. Please help my children to be obedient, kind and willing to come under authority. Help them know how to appeal authority in a right way, following the example of Daniel. Help them to know how to submit, without being doormats. Thank you for the complexity of our lives as Christians and how this is not a one-dimensional life.
