Being what you want your kids to be

James 1:19
This you know, my beloved brethren. But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;

Father thank you that You know me inside and out. Thank you that You are the Creator of all things. You have known me from the beginning of time.

You know our children and what they need and who they are. Help us to be everything that You want our kids to be.

Father, give our children a desire to be self controlled in their speech and in their actions. Help them to want to please you above all else. Give them a heart for you.

Hello,
I found you by way of The Homespun Heart. Just wanted to comment on your post-it is something I think often about. How can I expect my children to model something they don't see often. Its a tail-kicker! Definately something to pray about-I don't want to get in the way of my children knowing and wanting to know Jesus.
Thanks for the timely post.
Elise
