Are we like wise women?
Matthew 7:24 says "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock."
puts them into practice
What does that mean? That seems to be an idea that is repeated in Scripture. Doing what we know is right. The knowledge is not the thing... it is the putting into practice that is.
So then why do we struggle? Why can't we just do the right thing? Or in doing the right thing.. why can't things turn out well?
I am learning that the struggle is the thing. It is the thing that helps us to turn out well. It is the thing that gives us character. It is the thing that grows our faith.
How has your faith grown in this past week? How has God answered your prayers? How has He met you where you are?

Struggling to do the right thing in prepairing for company, I was met with a seemingly displeased husband. I cried out "is it ever good enough?" and went to my room to cry. I prayed and the Spirit conveyed to me two things 1) work as unto the Lord. 2) I am pleased with your preparations, That I am pleased is what matters.
I had peace, was able to continue my work and not have a pity party, a complete release of my sadness and it increased my faith. Taking my "little" issues to God DO MATTER to Him and He is more than willing to help me through them. God is good...
