How do you ever get out from under the desk?

I have always remembered thinking... even before I was a Christian... that if I could just get caught up and start fresh that I could keep up with all my responsibilities.

Is that a lie? An illusion? Is it possible in theory, but in reality something that is never played out?

If I get the housework done... my desk stuff piles up. If I get the desk done.. the house looks like a tornado hit it.

If we get all of the school work done that I have planned.. then it is time for bed.... :)

And just when I am on a roll on anything it is time to stop and go see my mom or cook dinner or take someone somewhere.

Could I ever truly be caught up? Or is there joy in the endlessness of the tasks?

I choose joy. What is life if it is not a challenge? I choose the challenge and wish to live in that moment and love it!

Ways that I could make myself less frustrated... more productive?

1. Limit the time I do each activity.. regardless of whether it is completed or not. I am never going to be done.
2. Choose the things that are best for my family, understanding that a clean home IS a part of the essentials. No one feels good in a mess.. no matter what they say.
3. Letting the Lord dictate my schedule. My life is not my own.

How will you run your life this hour, this day, this week?
